Link Building is not an easy task i totally agrees with you, i read somebody talked about buying links, but please do read google policy, they dont even allow that, as far as client is concern you have to be honest with your work, one honest work you get more leads through them. Great articles keep it up buddy

@Amelia We build links through many methods, most discussed on this blog so we don't put all of our eggs in one basket, so to speak. But when requesting links we have about a 20% success rate which is not good. But that is why we employ many other options. Probably 10% of our efforts are devoted to purely "cold calling" for links.

Good post, thanks.

But, how do you go about getting the 'right' links it seems to me one can waste a lot of time asking webmasters for links, and never getting response. What is your average ratio of links accepted and added (with the anchor text you asked for) to getting no response? So far I'm finding it harder and harder to get my link requests accepted, and wondered if you (as an expert!) have any tips?

Link building should be done carfully. You need to read google policy about backlinks before starting a link building campaign.

I personally, prefer links that are built in more natural way. Buying links from other sites can be good, but if you don't have something good to offer, then visitors will leave your site in no time.

Also, beaware of link building campaigns that aims Google PR. Google Penalize you harshly if you are caught. And in most cases, you will be caught.

Any way, nice post and keeep up the good work.
