I visited Marketwire website today but found no pricing information. This totally turned me off. It's not the way to do online business. Customers wants to know the pricing data real-time.

John, I am sure you can come with tens of reasons (such as each client has a different need, ...) why you don't publish prices, but that's not what majority of the customers expect these days. Just look at PRWEB. One of the main reasons of their success is the availability of pricing information online.

My two cents.

Hi guys!
Have you used Marketwire or heard of Marketwire before. (i do work for them, so I am a little biased), but I would encourage you to compare and contrast SEO differences with Marketwire and PR Web as well. We have plenty of clients that have switched over to us from PRWeb for a better SEO product(as well as less expensive).
I would be more than happy to talk further to anyone that wants to contact me outside of this forum!

I just used the SEO package with PRWEB and was pretty impressed to see where the release was picked up, Google News, Yahoo News, etc. and will wait to see what kind of results I get in the SERPS.

Scott, it depends on your needs, to some degree. The prweb.com solution is helpful for SEO but the $200 can be a steep cost. Sometimes I think the $200 can better used elsewhere if that is all you have to spend. But for a holistic approach I like spreading my link building to this niche as well. If you just want PR value you might be better off using the other option, but I'm not qualified to be certain.

Both these solutions appear to be pretty costly. What is a good route to go if you are a marketing company that needs to promote clients?

Martin - 24-7PressRelease.com was not included because it doesn't allow links in the press release, at least no that I could see. And since we use press releases for link building it is not considered a good use of time for the SEO benefits.

I've used prweb.com a number of times an I think it's definitely worth the money. But don't rule out some free distro sites like prlog.org for building pageranked backlinks.
